What do the football clubs Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 have in common? Football fans will probably say: "Nothing!" but that is not quite true. Both clubs share one interest. It is the same interest that also connects ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel GmbH to gefeba Elektro GmbH, St. Vincenz Hospital GmbH and to 13 further companies from Gelsenkirchen, Gladbeck and Herne.
All of them want to save the environment.
Like the two first leage clubs these 16 companies participated in the project called "Ökoprofit". This training program, developed by the city of Graz, shows businesses how to save energy, avoid garbage and to use their full potential and resources. Since less energy means less costs and less CO2, everybody profits from this project. The companies, the involved cities and municipal areas, the people and last but not least the environment.
